Double Gantry Boring Machines

Cross beam

The cross beam assembly with all machining axes (X/Y/Z/A/C) travels longitudinally on the two machine columns. The worktable is designed to customer specifications.

Controller module

Our control modules control all 5 axes with high efficiency (Option: Siemens 840DSL or Heidenhain iTNC 530).

Operating arm

Operating arm for control panel, with weight compensation.

Tool and milling head changer

The automatic tool changer and milling head changer are located at the rear of the machine in order to keep the changing distances short and to avoid blocking installation spaces.

Worktable

The worktable, as a solid cast plate, can be of any size and accommodate high workpiece weights.

Stand

The stand construction as one component enables the absorption of large machining forces with the highest possible stability.

GKG5A series from GMW is standard equipped with Siemens 840dsl or Heidenhain iTNC 530 control, as well as high precision linear guides and Heidenhain linear scales.

Our machines are delivered with Siemens control as standard. On request, we can also design the machines with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. The machines are assembled and delivered according to the specifications.

Optional accessories: 2 axis milling head as fork head of the brand Kessler GmbH, Cytech GmbH etc., lighter version 2AK-G3, with 12,000 rpm or 24.000 rpm, heavy version 2AK G63 with 12000 rpm or 24000 rpm.
